WHO WE ARE

Lori D’Agostino
President / Sr. Event Producer

Lori is an experienced event producer, but as much as she’s known for being the ultimate party planner and putting on events that thrill and delight guests, her real claim to fame is actually a little less exciting. In the wake of nearly two decades of events ranging from intimate weddings to celebrity concerts, Lori’s most impressive achievement is a lot of relaxed people. Specifically her clients.

To put it succinctly, Lori has a knack for seeing through the clutter and understanding what truly matters. She is adept at managing multiple moving pieces and moving the whole team forward with a calm demeanour that beautifully understates the true amount of work and passion she puts into every moment of every event. From a thoroughly organised approach to pre-event planning to a cool head on the big day, Lori is the perfect mix of professional and creative - just the person you need in your corner.

Your professionalism and calm demeanor throughout the planning, and particularly at “show time” was reassuring and refreshing, and you were seamless with the support and exceptional service provided. The vast array of cast and characters that you directed throughout the evening to produce this spectacular event seemed effortless.

+ awards

Lori has been the production lead on events that have won awards and accolades both nationally and internationally from ‘Best Fundraising Event’ at the International Gala Awards to numerous wins in Canada at the Canadian Event Industry Awards including ‘Most Outstanding Event’ and ‘Best Event for a Non-Profit’.

When we undertook to host the Junos in 2016 we wanted to emphasize that Calgary is an exciting Music City. From the moment people arrived at the airport until the last note was played at the after-party, that was evident - due in large part to Lori’s attention to detail. She hit just the right note, booking the bands and staging the sites. Above all, she worked well with the Committee, helping to develop our plans and then executing them very professionally.

Dear Lori,

Tourism Calgary and Travel Alberta are thrilled with the success of Rendezvous 2017. You took three words - culinary, chords and culture, conceptualized them and created an engaging event that will be remembered as the best Rendezvous event ever!

Your event plans were timely, concise and organized with exceptional creativity and attention to detail, showcasing the quality and diversity of Calgary’s tourism experiences within the three pillars. Culinary - your knowledge of the best restaurants to partner with and the vast array of culinary delights provided an exceptional experience for the most discerning of palates. Chords - the diversity and vibrancy of the acts provided entertainment for all musical preferences from country and rock to harmony and a club vibe in the King Eddy elevator. Culture – featuring the First Nations was a cornerstone of this event, brilliantly executed through a combination of dance, art and interaction, interweaving an indigenous experience on each floor.

You took every suggestion and wove it into the evening for a seamless and surprising multi-faceted experience. Never once did we hear “no, not possible, can’t, don’t want to” - you delivered in every way.

Your professionalism and calm demeanor throughout the planning, and particularly at “show time” was reassuring and refreshing, and you were seamless with the support and exceptional service provided. The vast array of cast and characters that you directed throughout the evening to produce this spectacular event seemed effortless.

Thank you from your RVC 2017 organizing team. We look forward to working with you at future events!
